The Doctor and The Master were best friends when they were young, that is until puberty set in...

The Master has the best facial hair, it's even said that whenever he regenerates a beard just shows up.

The Doctor on the other hand is cursed with the laziest, slowest growing hairs in the known universe, you could lock him up in room for three days later and he'll still be smooth as a baby ass.
That's not to say that he can't grow a beard, he can eventually but it's a sad, depressing thing that could kill a Dakek on sight.

Either he can make it grew in that pattern with only the power of his mind, or he spends an hour a day growing it and dyeing it.
Still the best beard ever IMO.

See this is why they gave up on letting him "pick out" his next appearance not because he was stalling but because they were afraid he was looking for a beard like this.

As a reward for giving them your money the BBC decided to inflict this interview on an unsuspecting public in the special features on 'The Mysterious Planet' because they ~~don't have the rights to Seventies Porno Colin~~ love you but don't know how to show it.

At first the signs 'Don't approach the prisoner' were there for peoples own safety, years later with no one having approached the prisoner for any reason the signs have been rendered redundant.

Fun fact: the actor who played the 2nd Doctor never shave when he is not working. You could tell that he hasn't been cast yet by the lenth of his beard.

If you want to see it to belive it, look up the intervue of him in it on Google or Youtube and wright in"Patrick calls Collen baker Miss Piggy>"

I laght at that and then later freack out knowing that he knew of the Muppets
