Now before you go help me out, what did the Christmas Carol kid say to Tony? I thought he said one thing but now I'm not so sure. Let me know what you think he said.

Is the 'not my division' bit a nod to Lestrade in Sherlock? Cause that's hilarious. XD

I love Tony :D I give the movie 11 out of 11, though I still wish they had delved more into the topic of his PTSD and that Tony and Pepper had kissed (along with some other romantic scenes)
Tony is the best :) He's my favorite superhero and fictional character. Also, your art is brilliant!

Well there's always Avengers 2. I doubt he'll be all cured by then.
I think they got a good balace in, without making the entire movie about that, while still showing it realistically, and not sweeping it under the rug or pulling a miracle cure out of no where. There's never enough Pepper/Tony in there but again probably for the same reason, lots of stuff to get too.

Thank you. :)

Well, from the epilogue he seemed much better, which seemed kind of unrealistic, like he was cured of it something. Maybe he just finally got some therapy instead of just trying to ignore and deny it. At least he'll understand what Bucky will probably be going through. What's interesting is Tony was captured by terrorists and in a cave where he was possibly tortured and seemed fine but the events at the end of the Avengers gave him all kinds of issues. Maybe he just pretended he wasn't affected by the events in his past but combined with the recent traumatic experience it was just too much for him.

I think the epilogue is just that an epilogue. It puts a point on the positive-changes Tony was shown taking in his life at the end of the movie. I don't see it as them showing him as being "cured" in any sense. I see it as Tony acting on his life rather then reacting to it.

Personally I don't see him as fine or unaffected by his time in captivity. His traumatic experience at the end of the Avengers was just the thing that gave him a new more noticeably different side-effect; the panic attacks.
Tony Stark has spent every movie his been in being shown effected by the crap in his life both before the event of being captured by terrorists and after. He engages in self-destructive behaviour, isolates himself, drinking to excess to name a few.
The panic attacks in the Iron Man 3 are just a new, different symptom that isn't a more extreme version of his personality, or something that can be pasted off as such.

It'd be really hard for him to channel panic attacks into anything else other then more panic attacks.
That's my take on that.

Yeah, maybe the epilogue was just starting to get better, it will be interesting to see how Tony's doing in Avengers 2. Maybe he finally got some therapy. It's just interesting that it's more obvious in Iron Man 3; it's pretty obvious that he has PTSD with the panic attacks from the triggers, nightmares and inability to sleep, even a kid knew he had it. I know people with depression often self-medicate with alcohol and drugs but I'm not sure about people affected by trauma, he's probably like Haymich from The Hunger Games who copes with his PTSD by getting drunk all the time (though, to be fair, I'm pretty sure just about everyone in that series had PTSD, or another mental illness of some sort, they just show it differently.) I kind of wish Pepper was a bit more supportive of Tony, one the things I love about Pepper is that she's afraid to knock some sense into Tony but some of his behaviors were not his fault, like the nightmares. I like how Tony and Pepper's relationship isn't perfect like most couples on TV, they argue and have issues just like couples in real life.

I think Pepper is right at the limit of how supportive she can be before she effectively starts setting herself on dire to keep Tony warm. She's got her own problems to deal with too. Problems Tony would need to also be supportive for.

Only a few more weeks till we see how Avengers AoU plays out for character development. :eager:

True, there is always a lot of stuff to get to and they'll probably talk about it more in Avengers 2 (likely with Cap since he's got some experience). There really never is enough Pepper/Tony but they always manage to leave a lot to the imagination :)
Keep up the great work :)

OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD OH MY GOD. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I REALIZED IT. THOUGHOUT THE FREAKING FILM, I THOUGHT TONY BOUGHT PEPPER AT GIANT BUNNY WITH MASSIVE, PERKY TITS. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I REALIZED THAT THOSE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE ITS ARMS.

Oh god, I was wondering why no one else seemed to question it other than being really tall...

I just watched that yesterday and really liked it. Then I watched Star Trek right afterwards (literally less than a 10 min break between the two screenings) and I loved it so much that IM3 was rendered kinda "meh" for me.

I loved that movie so much. I'm not sure how I felt about the ending though. I've heard rumors of a fourth Iron Man, but I've heard rumors that Robert Downey Jr doesn't want to participate in a fourth movie, and I've heard that marvel will make a fourth one regardless of Robert Downey Jr. How are you supposed to make a fourth Iron Man movie without Robert Downey Jr? Also, how is he supposed to participate in the second and third Avengers if he can't power the suits anymore? I DON'T GET IT! Somebody explain!
